The Mary Rose built between 1509 and 1511, she was one of the first ships able to fire broadside.
And she sank accidentally during an engagement with the French fleet in 1545.

 

This series of photographs was taken from the viewing area, through double glazed windows. The ship was continually sprayed with a wax solution - this made photography even more difficult.
